Synopsis:
The Hidden Agendas campaign was designed for a group of four players and takes roughly ten weekly sessions to complete. The story sees the player characters become tangled up in a web of political conspiracy, betrayal and conflict. The campaign takes place within the Ordic city of Five Fingers. A coastal city made up of several large islands, connected by bridges and surrounded by a cluster of smaller islands. People in the overpopulated and polluted city are dying of a mysterious plague. Fearing Cryxian influence, the Mayor of the city assigns the players with the task of finding out what’s causing the epidemic.
The players will find clues that lead them into the bowels of the city where they find a political rival of the Mayor’s who is responsible for causing the plague. The players put a stop to his scheming only to discover that he was simply a puppet of a very powerful Cryxian Warcaster. As the player rush to warn the authorities, the plagues true purpose reveals itself. The dead begin to awaken and form the spearhead of a Cryx assault on the coastal city.
As the city descends into chaos, the players must survive the dreaded assault and discover why the Cryx are attacking the city. When the players are made aware of a powerful artifact held within the cities academy, they enter into a race against time as they rush to retrieve the artifact and prevent it falling into the hands of the nightmare empire. The final encounter sees the brave heroes go toe to toe with a Cryxian Warcaster as he makes his final push to retrieve the artifact.
The campaign was written for newly generated characters, but the encounters can be tailored for experienced characters and players.
